Pieter Nelissen

Pieter qualified in 2001 from Ghent University in Belgium, after which he joined the staff at the University, completing an Internship in Small Animal Surgery. In September 2003, he joined a small animal practice in the UK, in which he was in charge of Small Animal Surgery for 3 and a half years. During this time he gained his RCVS certificate in Small Animal Surgery. In February 2007, Pieter joined Dick White Referrals, initially working as an intern, prior to commencing a three year Residency training in Small Animal Surgery, which he completed in 2010.

In 2011, he was appointed as a Clinical Fellow in Small Animal Surgery at Dick White Referrals. He spends the majority of his time in the clinic treating soft tissue cases but he continues to maintain his interest in Orthopaedics by spending time in the Orthopaedic clinic too. He enjoys all aspects of surgery; but is especially interested in Soft Tissue Surgery with particular focus on minimally invasive surgery.
